Since 2000, Sold Out has collaborated with MTV Spain and MTV Europe in the production of several major music events such as the MTV European Music Awards, MTV Madrid Beach, Isle of MTV, MTV Day, MTV Music Week and MTV Murcia Night.
One of the most outstanding events produced by Sold Out for MTV was the MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA) show held in Madrid in November 2010. This was the second time that MTV Europe had commissioned Sold Out to produce this prestigious event, one of the international music industry’s most important occasions.
Sold Out’s involvement in this project included the production of the 4 major official events:
MTV EMA in the Caja Mágica. Local production and coordination of the huge Award Ceremony Gala in the Caja Mágica, broadcast live to a worldwide audience of more than 500 million spectators.
MTV EMA OB Show at the Puerta de Alcalá. Local production and coordination of the massive free concert for more than 70,000 people taking place at the Puerta de Alcalá in Madrid.
MTV EMA After Show Party. Local production and coordination of the official party for VIPs and international artists participating in the 2010 European Music Awards.
MTV Day at the Puerta de Alcalá. Local production and coordination of Madrid’s MTV DAY, held the previous day for more than 50,000 people in the heart of the capital.
